Established in 2017 and part of Dundee & Angus College, Service Design Academy is dedicated to delivering innovative and accredited service design training and education programmes.

We teach people how to use the design process to ensure that organisations’ services and experiences are always person-centred, effective and inclusive. 

Our expert educators deliver learning pathways for individuals and organisations to connect service design theory with practical application; helping colleagues to learn- by-doing through a mix of workshops, mentoring and case studies. 

  • We deliver the only accredited Professional Development Award qualification in service design with over 350 alumni working in a variety of roles from digital transformation to quality improvement. 
  • Our shorter courses offer a hands-on practical introduction to service design for people at all levels in an organisation. 
  • We also partner with organisations to develop customised programmes with groups working together on a real-world design challenge as they learn the process together.   

Service Design Academy is proud to be a part of the growth of service design practice in Scotland, the UK and further afield. We do this by building capacity and capability for service design in a professional context and also with people who want to engage with their communities to bring ideas to reality.
