About the session

As content and UX designers, every day we seem to come across another example of poor content. But what are the reasons behind all this bad content and how did it come to be?

By looking at the history of webpages in Higher Ed we can discover how the early innovation from this sector has hampered their ongoing standards.

Participant takeaways:

  • Why empathy towards bad content can help make sense of how it came to be
  • Enable better conversations with stakeholders to break down those barriers that keep things stuck in 1993.
  • Recognise and break free of the pattern of reskinning ancient history

Themes:

Content design, Culture and collaboration, Working with others, Design empathy, Content design
