About the session
After two years at Monzo, more recently, Heldiney has been leading design for a team whose sole goal is to improve core experiences.
The team has evolved to work in two modes of working, mode one is shipping light-improvements quickly in one to two week-long sprints. Mode two is making big investments in several week-long phases.
This way of working has meant design thinking needed to scale beyond the designer. Monzo’s mission is to make money work for everyone. Whilst moving quickly, customer outcomes need to remain top of mind. This is the story of how design can play a key role in shaping a team’s way of working beyond the pixels—paired with the hard lessons learned along the way.
