About the session
Debate Club is a conversation format that helps people get better at understanding and discussing conflicting ideas.
In a friendly, informal environment, in this session you'll:
- Hear about why we launched Debate Club
- Find out what we've learned since starting it
- Learn how you can run a debate
- Take part in a fun debate session
By the end, we hope you'll gain greater confidence in independent thinking while celebrating diversity of thought.
Participant Takeaways:
- Practical tools to apply to their own work.
- Inspiration to practise interpersonal, flexible skills that may have been left unpolished by not working in-person with others.
- Fresh perspectives: participants will hear what we've learned, and how to run similar sessions themselves.
- A novel experience: participants will learn how debating (a necessary, everyday activity), can become a constructive and fun part of team culture, as we celebrate diversity of thought and build better relationships with our teams.
