About this Case Study

We've designed B2B user experiences to be less usable and beautiful than their B2C counterparts. It’s time to change, and we've never been better placed to unleash the full business-changing power of UX for B2B customers. Using real-world examples from FTSE 100 companies, this session will teach models, frameworks and approaches to researching, designing and delivering profitable B2B experiences that business customers will love.

About the Speaker

I’m a customer experience consultant living in Bristol. Customer-driven research, strategy, design and digital transformation is what I do. I’ve spent almost 2 decades in a variety of roles. I’ve been the customer experience guy at large companies like BT and Virgin Media, a UX designer for digital agencies, founder of a web start-up and part of an international cooperative of designers and developers. Recently, I was the Head of Customer Experience at True Digital and today, I work as a freelance customer experience consultant for such companies as Arm and Rentokil Initial.

Over the years, I’ve learned that organisational challenges are the biggest barrier to great customer experience. So I combine training and mentoring with research, strategy and UX design to overcome these and create experiences that are profitable for companies and loved by customers.

Originally from Tipperary, Ireland, I live with 3 women, 2 of whom are my daughters, making me significantly outnumbered on a daily basis. These days, you might catch a glimpse of me running up or biking down mountains, most recently at the Andalucía Bike Race, where alongside other similarly deranged mountain bikers, I went up and downhill for 6 days.
