About this Workshop

A design sprint is a framework for understanding and solving a problem by testing new ideas - fast!

In this fast-but-fun workshop, you will:

- think about users with customer journey mapping
- think about content using content modeling and priority guides
- get creative with ‘Crazy 8’ sketching
- have your say using sticky dot voting and solution discussions
- learn about effective prototyping and user testing

About the Speakers

Steve Burrows

Steve has over 15 years of experience as a designer, working with some smashing clients and in-house teams within the science, tech, retail, media, healthcare, charity and education sectors. He is currently Design Manager at the University of Dundee.

Steve works really hard (honestly) to deliver enjoyable, unique and effective experiences using the magical combination of design, UX and copywriting. He is also close friends with digital’s evil twin, graphic design.

Away from the screens, Steve enjoys spending time with his young family and many animals. He runs and climbs walls for fun.

Rob Ryder-Richardson

Rob has worked for the University of Dundee for over 6 years, in the Web Services team, as UX Manager.

During 2018, Rob co-hosted design sprints, every 2 weeks, to focus on different topics of change for the upcoming new website.

Rob has also run several customer journey mapping workshops with colleagues from across the university.

Rob will happily chat/rant about UX with anyone that will listen.
